We search a high motivated professional open to challenges, as Chief Product Engineer to lead the product team, to grow the sales and create future business the Business in his products / systems commodities. This function integrates the product competence center of SODECIA Safety & Mobility Division, reporting to the Head of Product Development.

This professional will be the key player in his business area to lead the product development together with internal technical sales team and OEM´s teams. This professional has a strong technical background and network in automotive area and has a high business opportunities identification capacity. Very innovative and an open mind with a strong approach to offer solutions to the costumer.

Main tasks and targets:

• Generate business opportunities on actual costumers, identify new business opportunities on new costumers.
• Leads the product / systems development solution related to his Business Area
• Leads the direct team allocated to his Business Area– Development Engineers team members 
• Manage the relation and communication inside the costumer and with SODECIA Group on his product area 
• Work continuously on a strategy to identify opportunities on the costumers, together with product competence center team and sales team
• Cooperate with Manufacturing Engineering and Research area to have the best product solution in the market (Efficient from process stand point of view, profitable and valuable to the Customer). Design and Evaluate Product & Systems Specification. Design to manufacturing continuous approach in order to provide the best solution to produce. 
• Develop a continuous and solid coordination with our Key Account Managers and provide them the technical support.
• Prepare and present internal reports and support Key Account Managers on the Customer technical presentations and on the continuous analyses of market trends.
• Together with Research and Manufacturing team participate on the research of new product solutions and application of new materials and processes.
• Support production plants requests on product technical issues, by providing local investigation and solution.

Skills requirements for this profile:

• Strong know-how in Automotive product commodities related with powertrain, safety products / systems or similar. Can be also a match if you had assumed functions previous in product development, R&D and Sales departments with a senior position. 
• Able to prove track at last for 7 years with significative results on creating business opportunities on the costumers or development of new concepts in automotive field.
• Project management skills, mainly with experience on the product pre-development phase 
• Clear understanding and involvement in previous functions on the product pre-development phase.
• Very strong commercial / sales profile with a strong communication capability, self-confident and solutions driven mentality 
• Experience on being a direct contact person with the costumer is a must. Direct contact with the pre-development or advance development departments is a huge plus.
• Full command of English and German is a must for this position. Other languages are a plus.
• Available to travel in EU and outside EU region.
• Qualifications: University degree in engineering (mechanical, materials, mechatronics) or equivalent professional training.
