As part of the Business Intelligence Team, you strive to enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes and uncover valuable business insights by leveraging technology, data and analytics. 

Your tasks

• Collaboration & Technical Leadership: You gather requirements, prioritize tasks and ensure project delivery in collaboration with cross functional teamsincluding analysts, cloud & data engineers, data scientists and business stakeholders. As the BI Lead Developer (m/w/d), you provide guidance and technical leadership to the BI team.
• Solution Design: You translate the business requirements into effective and scalable BI solutions by designing data models, ETL processes and data visualization components to support reporting and analytics needs.​               
• Data Warehouse Management: Together with the Cloud and Infrastructure team you maintain and enhance the BI / DWH infrastructure, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and security. You implement efficient architectures for data storage, indexing and partitioning to optimize query performance.                                                                              
• Data Quality & Governance: You establish and implement data quality standards, data governance frameworks and best practices across the BI ecosystem as defined by the central Data Governance Team.                        
• Documentation & Training: You document the BI solutions, data models, and ETL processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation. You provide templates, best practices and conduct training sessions for business users to enable them to effectively utilize the BI tools and reports within their data domain.               
• Emerging Technologies & Trends: You stay abreast of the latest trends and emerging technologies in the BI and data analytics space to deliver greater business value.

Your Profile

• Qualification: Masters degree in Business Information Systems or similar
• Experience and Knowhow: Collaboration and technical leadership: SCRUM, Project Management   
  Experience in leading BI projects
  
  • Multiple years of experience in DWH and BI environments                                       
  • >2 years of experience in being BI development lead or BI solution architect              
  • Data Modeling aligned with the principles of a data mesh ​                                       
  • MS Data Services: Azure Synapse and stored procedures, Data Factory, Outlook: MS Fabric                                    
  • Data Integration and ETL (SQL, Python & Spark)                                             
  • Data Visualization: PBI, DAX                                     
  • Data Governance and Security: MS Purview & Azure Active Directory                   
  • Cloud Architecture and Monitoring: Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Monitor and Azure Cost Management                                 
• Languages: Very good English skills; German/Polish/French/Italian would be a plus
