Within B. Braun Avitum AG, we are looking for a Development Engineer (f/m/d) in the field of electrical engineering for our Center of Excellence Automated Infusion Systems (CoE AIS) in the area of research and development for the program "Platform Automated Infusion Systems (AIS)" for our corporate headquarters at the Melsungen site as soon as possible.The "Platform AIS" program develops components as part of a common parts strategy for several product lines of automated infusion devices. In this context, the "Mechatronic Components" team is responsible, for example, for microcontrollers and microprocessors with peripherals (e.g. memory, sensor or power supply technology) or for small drives including control electronics, gear mechanics and control software.

Duties and responsibilities

Creation and maintenance of the hardware architecture, taking into account the normative and regulatory requirements for medical devices
Definition of requirements for electronic assemblies and circuits based on specifications for the overall system as well as integration of the assemblies into it
Responsibility for component selection, circuit design, schematic design, layout support, commissioning and verification of the assemblies
Design and optimization of the assemblies according to electromagnetic compatibility aspects
Documentation of the development results, the verification and the developed assemblies
Observation of the competition and the state of the art
Carrying out and ensuring the design transfer to production
Working according to development processes such as the V-model

Professional competencies

Successfully completed engineering studies in the field of electrical engineering or computer science
Experience in the use of common development tools such as Altium Designer, HyperLynx, Spice or Matlab
Experience in the metrological evaluation of circuits and troubleshooting, for example using an oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer or similar
Professional experience in the above-described area of responsibility as well as practical experience in dealing with technically complex products is desirable
Good command of written and spoken English
